A teen was arrested on a charge of child abuse after being accused of choking her baby to scare the child's father, according to police in Florida.

Now, 19-year-old Samantha Nicole Salinas of Seminole County, has been sentenced to serve two months in prison after pleading no contest to child abuse.

According to the police investigation, Salinas was angry that the father of her 7-month-old son was not paying child support.

She recorded herself choking her son, and sent the video to the child’s father, telling him to find his dead body in order to scare him.

In the video, the boy cried and appeared to be in distress.

Salinas lost custody of the boy, and he is now staying with his father's parents. Salinas could have been sentenced to five years in prison.
