A man was arrested on a charge of shoplifting after allegedly stealing items from Walmart, according to police in Florida.
Winter Haven police said that they have arrested 48-year-old Brian Crume, after being accused of stealing in order to raise money to bail out his wife who was in jail for shoplifting.
He was booked into the Polk County Jail, pending a bail hearing.
“On Wednesday, Crume from Wisconsin, was arrested for stealing three packs of electronic wire from the Walmart located at 355 Cypress Gardens Blvd in Winter Haven.
“When asked why he took the merchandise and didn’t attempt to pay, he told the officer that he was going to take the merchandise to try to sell it on the street.
“He needed to raise money to bond his wife out who was arrested earlier in the day in Lake Wales for shoplifting,” the police wrote on Facebook.
