A woman was arrested on a charge of assault after allegedly kicking a police officer who took her to a hospital, according to police in Florida.

Boca Raton police said that they have arrested 40-year-old Jacqueline Rodriguez, after being accused of being drunk on her birthday and trying to buy wine at a Publix supermarket.

Rodriguez has been charged with resisting arrest, assault on a law enforcement officer and battery on a law enforcement officer.

According to the criminal complaint, police were called to the Publix located in the 7000 block of North Federal Highway, after receiving a call from the store manager, saying that an intoxicated and undisciplined woman needed to be removed from the store.

Police asked Rodriguez to leave the store and she did. Once she left the store, Rodriguez stood on the sidewalk and began yelling obscenities.

A woman tried to push Rodriguez into a car, but she started walking back to the store, vowing to buy a bottle of wine. An officer grabbed the woman, but Rodriguez resisted arrest.

Se lunged and bit the officer. Police then took Rodriguez to a hospital for medical clearance. Rodriguez was belligerent and disrespectful to the hospital staff.

Rodriguez went into the bathroom, and when she finished, she shoved an officer and then started kicking him. She then shook her body with her pants down.
