(Scroll down for video) Four children were removed from their home after their mother told police to “take them.”
Police in Pennsylvania, were called to the home for a welfare check.
The caller told police that four children have been left home alone. Detectives said that this was the second time in two weeks that they were called about the children being home alone.
Officers found the four children living in deplorable conditions. The home did not have any beds. It had only one working light and the children had not eaten for some time.
Police called the mother, 34-year-old Takoya Parker, who told them that she cannot leave work. She then told police to take her children.
The Child, Youth and Family Services of Pittsburgh, removed the children, who are three, 5, 6, and 10 years old, from the home.
Parker was charged with four counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
