(Scroll down for video) A woman was arrested on a charge of battery after allegedly using a sword to stab her husband during a fight over drugs, according to police in Florida.
Middleburg police said that they have arrested 25-year-old Brandi Oberdeck, after being accused of throwing a wrench at her husband, Peter Oberdeck.
In court, Brandi pleaded not guilty to one count of aggravated battery. She was booked into jail, and placed on suicide watch.
According to the criminal complaint, officers were called to the couple’s home in the 1680 block of Baxley Road, on a report of a domestic incident.
The couple has been married for four years. On Saturday, during an argument over drugs, Brandi threw a wrench at Peter, and hit him on the thigh.
Peter grabbed a sword, caused damage to the house and dropped it. Brandi then grabbed the sword and hit her husband in the stomach and arms.
Peter was taken to the Orange Park Medical Center, where he is being treated for stab wounds. Both the husband and wife were under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
