(Scroll down for video) Police launched a murder investigation after the body of a homeless man was found burning on church steps, according to police in Ohio.
Zanesville police said that on Saturday around 10:30 p.m., a man called 911 to report a fire on the steps of the Central Presbyterian Church, which is located at 40 N. 6th Street.
Police officers who arrived at the scene, found the body of 62-year-old Leo Hayes on fire.
Police determined that Hayes died of blunt force trauma before his body was set on fire on the steps leading to the side porch of the church.
So far, no arrests have been made. People who knew the victim, told police that Hayes had been living on the streets, and he was very nice to people.
