Minneapolis police said that they have arrested 42-year-old Nataliia M. Karia, after being accused of hanging the 1-year-old child upside down, hitting three people with her car and threatening to jump off a bridge.

Karia is currently in a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

According to the police investigation, Karia is the owner and operator of the Uptown Daycare, which is located in the 2700 block of Humboldt Avenue S.

She has a license, and her home was approved for 12 children.

Karia said that she is trained in first aid and CPR, and has a luxury home with a large fenced yard just steps away from the Lake of the Isles that has been remodeled for the safety of children.

On Friday morning, parents were shocked to see the 1-year-old child hanging upside down in Karia’s home. They called the police, and Karia fled before officers arrived.

Karia was seen driving away from her home in a gold minivan.

She ran over a man and then hit a cyclist. Both victims suffered bone fractures and scrapes. They were taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center, where they were treated and released.

The woman then struck a car that was driven by 33-year-old Nicole Thomas. Thomas, who is five months pregnant, was taken to a hospital and released.

About 20 minutes later, Karia was spotted on the Park Avenue Overpass on Interstate 94, where she was threatening to jump onto the highway.

Several bystanders detained her until police took her into custody.
