(Scroll down for video) A man with a long criminal history is back behind bars for holding women and teens as sex slaves and forcing them to have sex with strangers.

Richard Knider Jackson of Detroit, Michigan, met people and invited them to his house.

There, he locked them up in a second floor bedroom. The women were kept behind a steel gate that had a padlock so they were unable to escape.

The women were forced to have sex with strangers. If they refused, they were beaten and punished. Jackson took photos of the women and advertised their sexual services on Backpage.com.

Police said that Jackson gave the women and girls drugs in order to get them hooked. They were given heroin so he can have complete control over them.

The incident came to light after one of the women helped the two teenagers, who are 15 and 16 years old, escape through a bathroom window.

Once they were free, they called police. The Detroit Police called in the FBI's Southeast Michigan Trafficking and Exploitation Crimes task force. They entered the home and found three women. Two women are 31 years old, and the third victim is 41 years old.

They were rescued and rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Jackson was charged with human trafficking. He is being held without bail.
