(Scroll down for video) A pastor in South Africa, is being slammed for abusing his congregants by spraying insecticide in their faces.

Pastor Lethebo Rabalago, 24, of the Mount Zion General Assembly in Limpopo, claims that Doom bug spray can heal people who suffer from cancer or HIV.

After being condemned by fellow pastors, Rabalago defended his actions, saying that God told him that Doom bug spray contains healing properties.

Rabalago recently explained how the bug spray works.

At the beginning of prayer services, Rabalago talks about demons that cause illness in people.

Rabalago then pulls out a can of Doom bug spray and sprays congregants who have demons in their bodies.

The pastor shared several photos on his Facebook page that show him spraying Doom in people’s faces.

The photos quickly went viral and he was criticized by most people.

Rabalago told his critics that some people came with injuries, but the left the church healed after being sprayed with Doom.

Tiger Brands, the company that produces Doom, warned of the risks of spraying the substance on people, and is urging the pastor to stop the practice.

A spokesperson for the company urged those who were sprayed to seek immediate medical attention.

Rabalago said that he is using the spray in the same way that others use oil or water for blessings, and in the end, it is God who is healing.

Police urged people to file assault complaints against the pastor so he could be arrested.
