(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested on a charge of distributing harmful material to minors after allegedly giving children DVDs that contained pornography, according to police in Texas.
Boyd police said that they have arrested 32-year-old Brad Collins, after being accused of giving the x-rated material to children who were collecting Halloween candy.
Collins was charged with one count of sale, distribution or display of harmful material to minors. He was booked into jail, and his bail has been set at $5,000.
According to the police investigation, while people in the community handed out Bible verses to children who were collecting candy on Monday, Collins handed out DVDs.
When the kids came home, their parents learned that some of the DVDs contained pornographic material. They called the police and handed officers the DVDs.
Collins was then arrested. Collins claims that he had no bad intent. He told police that he acquired DVDs in order to give something special to the children while they were collecting candy.
He specifically warned parents to watch the DVDs before allowing their children to see the material as he did not know what was on them.
