(Scroll down for video) A mother was arrested on a charge of battery after allegedly injecting feces in the IV bag of her sick son, according to police in Indiana.

Wolcott police said that they have arrested 41-year-old Tiffany Alberts, after surveillance videos at a hospital showed her injecting a substance her son’s IV bag.

Alberts has been charged with six counts of aggravated battery and one count of neglect of a dependent resulting in serious bodily injury.

She has been booked into the Marion County Jail, pending a bail hearing. A judge ordered the mother to stay away from her 15-year-old son.

According to the criminal complaint, Alberts’ 15-year-old son has been diagnosed with leukemia several months ago. After getting his first chemotherapy treatment, the boy contracted a serious blood infection.

Doctors ran tests, and found that the boy’s blood was contaminated with feces.

Hospital employees then installed hidden cameras in the boy’s room, and they recorded the mother injecting a substance in the child’s IV bag.

During questioning, Alberts first told police that she injected water because her son complained of burning, but she then admitted to deliberately using feces because she wanted her son to get transferred to another unit for better treatment.
