(Scroll down for video) Three people have filed a lawsuit against Chipotle Mexican Grill, after being left feeling very full from their meat filled tortillas, according to court documents in California.
David Desmond, Edward Gurevich and Young Hoon Kim, all of Los Angeles, said that the company intentionally misled them when advertising the 300 calorie chorizo burrito.
The plaintiffs are seeking class action status for the lawsuit, claiming that the chorizo burrito definitely has more than 300 calories as their stomachs were left feeling very full after eating the meat stuffed tortillas.
The lawsuit is alleging that the company is in breach of warranty and is violating the state’s Business and Professions Code.
Desmond told the court that he bought a chorizo burrito, believing that it contained just 300 calories.
After consuming the product, Desmond’s stomach felt overly full, and he realized that the burrito could not have been only 300 calories.
Two days later, Gurevich bought a chorizo burrito, and similarly realized after eating it that he had consumed more than 300 calories.
On Monday, Kim ate a chorizo burrito at the Chipotle, and came to the same conclusions as the other plaintiffs that the 300 calories that the menu board indicated was false.
