The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office said that they have arrested 30-year-old Tiffany Beasley, after being accused of falsely reporting a bomb at the State Probation Office.
Beasley has been charged with one count of making a false report of planting a bomb or explosive device. She was booked into the Charlotte County Jail, and her bail has been set at $20,000.
According to the criminal complaint, a woman called the State Probation Office on Marion Avenue on Monday afternoon, to report a bomb in the building.
Staff members called 911, and the building was evacuated. No suspicious devices were found in the building. Drug testing was being conducted for people on parole at the time.
Beasley was identified as the person who called in the bomb.
During questioning, she admitted that she made the threat because of concerns that her girlfriend would fail her drug test that day.
