A prison guard who tried to detain a drunk inmate, allegedly used pepper spray on the man’s private parts, according to police in Pennsylvania.

The Lackawanna County District Attorney’s office announced that they have charged Sergeant Scott Blume, 46, with assault and harassment in connection with the assault against Damian Kellogg.

He was released from custody after posting $25,000 bail. Blume was placed on paid leave.

According to the police investigation, the altercation unfolded after Kellogg became intoxicated with homemade wine, which he made from leftover fruit.

Blume told Kellogg to get dressed because he was going to be taken to a cage. After Kellogg refused to get dressed, Blume sprayed the prisoner through a door opening.
