A man who loves cats, broke into a sleeping woman’s home to pet her feline that rested beside her bed, according to police in Florida.

St. Petersburg police said that they have arrested 24-year-old Jasper Fiorenza, after the woman woke up to find him beside her bed with her cat.

Fiorenza has been charged with burglary and resisting an officer without violence. Fiorenza was booked into the Pinellas County Jail, and his bail has been set at $20,500.

According to the police investigation, Brittney Cline woke up in around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, after her pet cat shrieked. When Cline opened her eyes, she noticed the shadow of a man next to her bed.

When she said “hello,” she noticed someone dropping to the ground. Cline then turned on the lights and noticed the man on the floor and petting her cat.

She told the man to go away, and he left the house. When Fiorenza tried to return to the house on Monday, he was promptly arrested.
