Newlywed husband who tried to kill himself fatally shoots wife because she called him names and urged him to commit suicide

(Scroll down for video) A man who was trying to commit suicide, turned the gun on his wife and killed her after being taunted, according to police in Pennsylvania.

Donegal Township police said that they have arrested 30-year-old Joshua Crawford, after being accused of fatally shooting his wife, 30-year-old Sarah Crawford.

Joshua was charged with one count each of criminal homicide and aggravated assault. He was booked into the Butler County Prison, and is being held without bail.

According to the criminal complaint, the couple was married for three months before the fatal shooting at their home. On Sunday night, Joshua decided to take his own life.

Joshua grabbed his gun and loaded it. He then pointed the gun at his face and pulled the trigger, but it did not fire. Meanwhile, his wife kept calling him names and urged him to kill himself.

In response, Joshua pointed the gun at his wife, and shot her once in the chest. Sarah was found lying on a couch with a gunshot wound to her chest.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.
