18-year-old killer manages to take selfies in prison and uploads them to social media

(Scroll down for video) Police in Georgia, launched an investigation after a suspected killer managed to take selfies and upload them to social media while locked up in prison.

Officials of the Meriwether County Jail, said that a visitor managed to smuggle in a phone to the visitation room and take photographs of 18-year-old Mina Ellery.

Ellery was jailed in connection with the beating death of 83-year-old Dorothy Dow.

She was charged with criminal attempt felony murder, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, armed robbery, first-degree criminal attempt arson, first-degree burglary, and battery.

Dow was beaten and set on fire during a home invasion. She was taken to a hospital, where she died. In the photographs that were uploaded to social media, Ellery can be seen making a duck face and sticking out her tongue.

The person who smuggled the cellphone into prison is facing charges.
