(Scroll down for video) A woman was surprised when she received a card in the mail, containing her identification card, which she lost one year ago.

Columbia graduate student 23-year-old Christina Egan said that while she was in college, she often went to bars in Manhattan.

She did not take her wallet or purse, just her ID card, debit card and a lip gloss tube, which she kept in the pocket.

One night, when Egan lost her license in a bar, she ordered a new one and did not think about it anymore.

This week, when she opened her mail, she found the letter along with her old ID card.

The note read: “I found this on the floor of a bar about a year ago, hope you don’t mind I used it for a while. Now, I’m 21 so you can have it back! Thanks.”

“I thought it was hilarious. I'm sure she was just trying to enjoy her last few years of college. No harm, no foul. I didn't mind at all, I get it. I was that age once too,” Egan said.
