(Scroll down for video) A woman who was caught with child abuse videos, told police that she collected them because she was molested as a child, according to police in Pennsylvania.
Imperial police said that they have arrested 28-year-old Kaitlin Plascjak, after being accused of collecting videos, showing infants and children being raped.
Plascjak was charged with child pornography. She was booked into jail, pending a bail hearing. If convicted, Plascjak faces up to 30 years in prison.
According to the criminal complaint, police received a tip that Plascjak was downloading child pornography on her computer.
Police obtained a search warrant and raided the woman’s home, where she lives with her mother, and seized the woman’s electronic devices.
Police found videos of infants, toddlers and preteens exposing their private parts on a computer. Police also found images of infants being sexually assaulted on the woman’s phone.
Plascjak told police that she had more child porn on her phone, but she deleted some before she had surgery in case something went wrong.
When asked why she downloaded child porn, Plascjak said the images were a coping mechanism because she was molested as a child.
Plascjak is the first woman to be charged with child pornography in Allegheny County.
