The boyfriend told police that he also received a voicemail from the alleged captor, warning him to pay off a debt that he owed him in order for his girlfriend to be freed.

Samantha Martinez, 20, of Miami, followed up on the call with a text message, saying that he should pay off his debt in order not to get her captor angry.

The boyfriend reported the kidnapping to police, who launched a massive search for her. After two days, the boyfriend managed to track her down and he called police to say that she was safe.

When officers questioned the woman, she admitted that she made up the story to get back at her boyfriend, whom she accused of cheating, according to Miami Police spokesman Christopher Bess.

Martinez told police that she stayed at the home of a man, who is her boyfriend’s friend, and she had sex with him as revenge for her boyfriend’s cheating.

Martinez was charged with filing a false police report.
