Palmer police said that they have arrested five teens in connection with the death of 16-year-old David Grunwald.

The suspects were identified as Erick Almandinger, 16, Bradley Renfro, 16, Dominic Johnson, 16, and 19-year-old Austin Barrett.

All four teens were charged with six counts of first and second-degree murder, kidnapping and hindering prosecution.

18-year-old Devin Peterson was charged with three counts of evidence tampering, and one count of hindering prosecution.

Peterson was booked into jail, and his bail was set at $100,000.

The other four suspects have been denied bail.

According to the criminal complaint, Grunwald dropped off his girlfriend at her home before going to one of the suspects’ home to smoke and drink.

After allegedly smoking all the suspects’ weed, one of the teens used a gun to beat Grunwald. He was then driven into the woods, where he was shot to death.

The teens then burned Grunwald's car in an attempt to destroy evidence.
