A man who was very thirsty, decided to break the front window of a store and steal a drink, according to police in Washington.

The Seattle Police Department said that officers arrested the man on Monday morning, after he broke a store window and stole some items before being caught just several feet from the crime scene.

Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Pike St. at 4:00 a.m., when a caller witnessed the suspect using a rock to break the window of the business.

The witness said the man entered the store and was still inside.

Officers arrived and found the 21-year-old suspect, who matched the description that the caller gave. The suspect was drinking a sports drink just feet from the broken window.

Officers interviewed the suspect who said that he broke the window because he owned the business and was thirsty.

The suspect does not own the business.

Officers recognized the suspect as the same man who is suspected of breaking a window at the Seattle Police West Precinct last month.

Officers booked the suspect into King County Jail for burglary.
