Millionaire caught collecting thousands of dollars in food stamps and Medicaid

(Scroll down for video) A millionaire who was extremely greedy, decided to defraud the government by collecting thousands of dollars in food stamps and Medicaid, according to police in Ohio.

Geauga County police said that they have arrested 65-year-old Ali Pascal Mahvi, after being accused of hiding his assets in order to collect food stamps and Medicaid.

Mahvi has been indicted on four felony counts related to the fraud. If convicted, Mahvi faces up to four years in prison.

According to the criminal complaint, over several years, Mahvi collected $45,000 in Medicaid and received $8,400 in food stamps.

Mahvi admitted that his personal wealth stands at $120 million.

He claimed to own 70 percent of a resort in St. Lucia. He also owns an 800-square-foot house, which is outfitted with a pool and stables.

Prosecutors claim that Mahvi has $4.2 million in cash stashed in a bank account in Switzerland. Mahvi denied the allegations, saying that he has no income and his been living off loans from family and friends.
