(Scroll down for video) A young boy lost his life after an angry man shot him in a road rage incident.

3-year-old Acen King of Little Rock, Arkansas, was in the car with his grandmother and his one-year-old brother when he was shot dead.

According to police, the boy’s grandmother, 47-year-old Kim King-Macon, was waiting to turn west on Mabelvale Cutoff Road.

As she was waiting for traffic to pass, a man in a Chevrolet Impala, pulled up behind her vehicle and honked the horn. King-Macon responded by honking her own horn.

King-Macon told police that a black man then got out of the Impala and fired a shot.

The grandmother did not realize that her grandson was hit and she proceeded to drive into the JC Penney parking lot at the Shackleford Crossings shopping center.

There she was supposed to meet with family members to drop off the children. When King-Macon saw the child bleeding, she called 911.

Police arrived at the scene at about 6:30 p.m., and the boy was rushed to a hospital, where he died.

Police are now asking people who may have witnessed the incident, to come forward with information about the shooter.

The city of Little Rock is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
