(Scroll down for video) Police are looking to arrest a woman on a charge of assault after beating a sick woman who was waiting to get dialysis at a medical center, according to police in New York.
The New York Police Department said that 70-year-old Jean Richards of the Bronx, was standing outside the Da Vita Dialysis Center, which is located on West 233rd Street, when a woman approached her.
She asked for the time, and then went on to attack Richards.
The suspect punched the elderly woman in the face before stealing her bag, which contained her credit cards, cash and phone.
The incident unfolded on Saturday morning around 4:30 a.m.
Because it was still dark outside, Richards was unable to describe the attacker. Richards was dropped off at the medical by Access-a-Ride.
By the time she was attacked, nobody was on the street to help her. Richards, who suffers from kidney failure and gets dialysis three times a week, suffered injuries to her face.
So far, no arrests have been made.
