The City of Hudson police said that the unusual incident unfolded on Friday around 8:30 a.m.

A concerned person called 911 to report that an elderly woman was frozen to death inside a locked car.

Police officers rushed to the scene and found what appeared to be an old woman sitting in the passenger seat of a car wearing an oxygen mask and secured by a seat belt.

The old woman was not moving and her eyes were open. A sergeant broke a back window, opened the door and discovered that the woman was just a mannequin.

The owner of the car arrived at the scene after police broke his window. He told police that he uses the mannequin for his job selling medical training aids.

The owner of the car was angry and surprised that police broke a window of his car to rescue a dummy.

Police warned residents not to place realistic looking mannequins inside their vehicles as officers are required to break windows to make sure they are not human.
