Check the driver’s ratings on the app. See what other passengers were saying about the driver. If you are uncomfortable with the driver then don’t get in.

While waiting for the car, do a quick social media search to learn more about the driver before getting into the car.

When the car arrives, let your friend or family member know that you got into the car.

If you are not familiar with area open the GPS app on your phone.

If you feel uncomfortable with the route the driver is taking, you can let a friend or family member know the location of where you are.

You can ask the driver to finish to trip in a safe location such as a gas station or store and you will only be charged for the distance you have traveled.

As kids, we are taught not to talk to strangers. This also applies to strange drivers.

If you get into a dispute with the driver before you start the trip don’t get into the car.

If the dispute erupts during or after the ride, don’t hesitate to call the police.

When you are done with your trip, take a few moments to rate the driver. If you were happy, it will help others feel safer with the driver.

If you were unhappy or you felt unsafe during the trip, you can accomplish a lot by giving the driver a negative review. This will allow the company to hold the driver accountable or fire them.
