Restaurant files lawsuit against banana company because truck caused their business to burn to the ground

(Scroll down for video) The owner of a restaurant that burned down to the ground filed a lawsuit against a banana company, saying that their delivery truck caused the blaze, according to court documents in Massachusetts.

According to the lawsuit filed in the Bristol Superior Court, the Old Grist Mill Tavern in Seekonk, burned to the ground after the Chiquita truck rolled over near the restaurant.

The owner is seeking an unspecified amount for damages caused to the restaurant. The truck carrying bananas rolled over, causing a natural gas pipeline to explode and the restaurant to catch on fire.

The lawsuit names Chiquita Fresh North America of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Columbia Gas of Massachusetts, as well as the driver of the truck.

The lawsuit alleges that the driver and the gas company are guilty of negligence. Chiquita denied the allegations, but Columbia Gas refused to comment.

Woman bites female plane passenger because she almost touched her clothes

A woman caused a scene on a flight from Turkey to New York, after the woman sitting next to her took up too much space and nearly touched her clothes, police in New York said.

When the Turkish Airlines plane arrived at JFK Airport from Istanbul, police charged 38-year-old Stacy Engman with assault after being accused of biting Christina Tyler.

According to Tyler, Engman was wearing a scarf during the flight and it almost touching her as she leaned back in the empty seat between them.

After a disagreement, Engman raised the armrest and slammed it down on Tyler’s leg. Engman then called Tyler ugly, and told her to move her fat body.

When Tyler tried to ignore Engman, she was bitten on her lower back.

Tyler told a flight attendant what happened, and she was whisked to first class for the duration of the flight, leaving Engman behind in coach.

Tyler was treated at the airport.

Drunk woman kicks paramedics before urinating on floor of ambulance while being taken to hospital

A drunk woman was arrested on a charge of assault after kicking two paramedics and urinating on the floor of an ambulance while being taken to a hospital for treatment, police in the United Kingdom said.

Now, 29-year-old Sarah Bradley of Rochdale, has been sentenced to a 12-week curfew after pleading guilty to assault in connection with the attack on the paramedics.

For the next 12 weeks, Bradley is not allowed to leave her home from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

According to the police investigation, two members of the North West Ambulance Service arrived at Bradley’s home and assisted her.

When they began to treat her, she was calm, but her mood changed in the ambulance. She pushed one of the crew members with such force that he fell through the side door of the ambulance.

As the crew tried to calm the patient down she kicked a member in the face. Bradley continued to be aggressive with them and urinated on the floor of the ambulance.

Two brothers addicted to video games defecate in pants and skip meals before dropping out of school

A father in India, checked his two sons into a hospital after they dropped out of school because they became addicted to playing video games.

The two brothers were hospitalized in the psychiatric ward of the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi.

The older brother, 22, was in his second year of college, while the younger, 19, was in class 12. When they were brought to the hospital, the two brothers were socially and physically dysfunctional.

They spent all their time playing video games, and they had no time for studies, meals or bathing.

They also developed the habit of urinating and defecating in their pants as they didn’t want to waste a minute by going to the toilet.

They had no time for studies, meals, bathing or changing clothes. They didn’t answer phone calls and the doorbell, and twice turned a blind eye to thieves in their house.

Dr. Ankur Sachdeva, the psychiatrist who treated the brothers, said that the condition of the patients gradually worsened for two years.

Student fighting for her life after getting blood poisoning from leaving tampon in her for 9 days

A young woman in the United Kingdom, is fighting for her life after accidentally leaving a tampon in her body for nine days.

20-year-old Emily Pankhurst of Canterbury, said that she felt bloated and under the weather, but she believed it was due to stress of her upcoming exams.

However, she was actually suffering from toxic shock syndrome after forgetting to remove a tampon for nine days.

Pankhurst ignored her symptoms while she was busy studying for her university exams. She was studying criminology at the University of Canterbury.

When she finally realized that she accidentally left the tampon in her for more than a week, she pulled it out. Pankhurst said that the tampon was completely black and she was so disgusted by it that she quickly flushed it down the toilet.

A few hours later, she felt feeling sick and began slurring her words. Her mother immediately called an ambulance.

Pankhurst was taken to the intensive care unit, where she was diagnosed with blood poisoning as a result of toxic shock syndrome, which is a life-threatening infection caused by the tampon.

She was given antibiotics and doctors managed to save her life. However, Pankhurst temporarily lost her mobility and is still unable to walk long distances.

2-year-old girl dies in fire while her mother earned $700 in tips at strip club

(Scroll down for video) A young girl in New York, burned to death while her mother was out stripping in a club.

Police arrested 20-year-old Leila Aquino, after she returned home to find that her house went up in flames and her daughter was no longer alive.

Sadly, firefighters in Brooklyn, did not know that 2-year-old Kaleena Muldrow was inside the house. Aquino was working as a stripper in a club and left her daughter alone.

The child was sleeping in an upstairs bedroom. After firefighters put out the flames, Aquino arrived home with $700 in tips that she earned from stripping.

She told the police that her baby was inside the house at 755 Monroe Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Firefighters went back into the house and found Muldrow’s body under a bed. Aquino fell to the ground crying after learning that her daughter was not saved.

At first, Aquino told police that she left her daughter with a babysitter. However, she later admitted to leaving the child home alone while she was working.

She was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and reckless endangerment.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

A man took revenge against a woman by urinating on her.

According to a video that was uploaded to the Internet, the incident occurred at a park in Russia.

The woman was having an argument with several people before a man, who was dressed in black, walked behind the woman and urinated in the hood of her jacket.

The woman was wearing a pink jacket, and the hood of her jacket was hanging in the back when the man urinated into it.

In the video, the other men were heard laughing hysterically while the woman was unaware of the flow of liquid hitting her jacket.

Police officer arrested for giving man a break by giving his girlfriend a speeding ticket instead of him

A police officer was arrested after giving a man a break and handing a speeding ticket to his girlfriend instead of him.

Police in Florida, arrested their colleague after he allowed the man to drive away without being arrested.

Sergeant Ralph Williams who worked for the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, was arrested on a charge of falsifying an official document.

The veteran was demoted from sergeant and he was placed on desk duty.

Officials said that Williams, pulled over the man who was driving 69 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone. The driver, who was not named in the warrant, did not have a license, but his girlfriend, Jesely Brenes-Fernandez, who was a passenger, did have one.

Williams decided to give the man a break and handed the ticket to his girlfriend. The officer told Brenes-Fernandez that if she contested the ticket in court, he will take out a warrant for her boyfriend’s arrest.

Brenes-Fernandez, who had her 11-year-old daughter in the car, thanked the officer for not taking her boyfriend to jail.

Teenager robbed at knifepoint in his house after showing off his cash on Snapchat

A teenager was horrified when two armed robbers entered his home and demanded his cash.

The teen of Florida, told police that he posted a photo of $280 on Snapchat, hours before the robbery.

Officers responded to the victim’s house in the 4000 block of Sugar Pine Drive, where the 18-year-old man said that he was in his room playing video games when he heard a noise.

Thinking it was the family’s housekeeper, he ignored the noise. However, he was soon confronted by men wearing masks and armed with knives.

They demanded the $280 that they saw in the photo on Snapchat.

One of the men put the victim in a headlock and place a butcher knife to his neck. He then began to choke him, according to the police report.

The other robber who was armed with a steak knife, grabbed the teen’s wallet and watch before they fled.

A woman who was walking her dog, told officers that the two robbers got into a BMW, and drive down the street in reverse.

So far, police arrested 21-year-old Faried Said of Boca, for being involved in the robbery. He was charged with armed robbery with a deadly weapon and burglary to a dwelling or structure.

Police officer deliberately runs over and kills dog to stop it from causing car crash

People in the United Kingdom, are outraged over the death of a dog that was deliberately run over by police.

After public outcry, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) said it will launch an investigation into the actions of the police.

North Wales Police said that they have received a call at 3:00 a.m., to report a dog running loose in Conwy. The dog was seen running toward oncoming traffic between the Llanfairfechan roundabout and the Conwy tunnel.

Officers tried to capture the dog before it could cause a car crash. However, the dog ran too fast and officers were unable to catch it.

It was then decided that the dog needs to be stopped at any cost. The officers were given the go ahead to use their car as a weapon to kill the dog.

The officers ran over the dog with their car, killing it instantly. Chief Inspector Darren Wareing said they “did not take this decision lightly.”

After officers could not bring the dog under control, the only safe option was to destroy it, police said.

Woman who spent 35 years looking for sister discovers they had been playing bingo online together for 8 years

A woman of the United Kingdom, who had been looking for her long-lost sister, learned that they had been spending quality time together for the past eight years.

The 59-year-old grandmother was adopted by a family in Billingham, when she was a baby. When she was 25 years old, Elaine Walker learned that she had a biological sister.

However, she had little information about her sister. She spent many years piecing together information in the search for her sister.

After 35 years of searching, Walker was finally successful in tracking down her long-lost sister, 65-year-old Jackie Green.

She reached out to her sister via Facebook. Walker soon realized that she and her sister have a number of mutual friends from the gambling site named BingoPort.

When she spoke to her sister about it, they discovered that they had spent the last eight years playing and chatting with each other online.

Green was raised by her father in Croydon, London, where she still lives today. The two sisters said that their reunion was very emotional.

Man shot after robbers heard him tell his mother he won the lottery

(Scroll down for video) A man was shot and his lottery ticket was stolen after thieves heard him saying that he won the jackpot.

Patricia Manning of Louisville, Kentucky, said that was on the phone with her 19-year-old son when he was shot.

Manning’s son bought a scratch off lottery ticket and he won $1,000. Store owner Mehr Dad said that the teenager was very happy. “He was so excited to get $1,000 it was big money for him,” Dad said.

Dad told the teenager to sign his ticket so that nobody but him could cash it. The teenager did so. He then called his mother and told her the good news.

When the teenager walked out of the store, his mother was still on the phone. Suddenly, an armed robber who overheard him talking about his big win, shot him.

The armed robber shot the teen in the stomach and then demanded the winning ticket. The teen took the ticket out of his pocket and handed it to the armed robber while his accomplice was waiting in a car nearby.

Manning said that her son told the armed robber “you didn't have to shoot me dude.” When the thieves tried to cash the ticket, they were declined as the ticket had another man’s signature.

Police have released a photo of the man who tried to cash the stolen ticket. After reviewing surveillance videos, police arrested the man in connection with the armed robbery. He was charged with facilitation to commit robbery.

The 19-year-old was able to collect the $1,000 winnings after officials verified his signature.

92-year-old woman feels heartbroken after her 53-year-old beloved stove stopped working

An elderly woman in the United Kingdom, revealed that she became heartbroken after her 53-year-old stove suddenly stopped working.

92-year-old Winifred Hughes of Crewe, bought a Belling Classic stove in 1963.

When Hughes first bought the stove, she couldn't afford to pay the 79 pounds (1,500 pounds or $2,807 adjusted for inflation) for it at once, so she worked out a payment plan with the company.

Hughes said that the oven turned out to be a bargain as she used it almost every day for the past 53 years. The stove cooked meals for her family of five every day, including a roast dinner every Sunday.

Hughes pulled out the inner parts of the oven to clean it every Sunday. The only time the Belling stove broke was when a shelf fell on it and sliced off a knob.

At some point, the timer stopped working, but it did not really matter. Unfortunately, last week, the thermostat broke, causing the oven to stop working.

Hughes said that she is heartbroken that her beloved Belling stove no longer works.

Couple dig up grave and scatter bones around them to spice up their relationship

A couple was arrested on a charge of desecrating a corpse after allegedly digging up a grave and scattering the bones around them as part of a ritual, police in Spain said.

Alicante police said that they have arrested the 37-year-old man and 34-year-old woman, who were not identified, after being accused of performing the ritual in the cemetery in order to spice up their relationship.

The two were charged with desecrating a corpse and desecrating a grave. According to the police investigation, on Saturday, the couple broke into the cemetery and dug up a grave.

They took the bones and scattered them around on the ground. They brought along two voodoo dolls and tied them together.

They placed a candle, and some rice, beans, sweet corn and noodles, as well as two small plastic cups full of rum as part of their ritual to spice up their relationship.

When they were done, they left from the scene and didn’t bother to clean up after themselves.

Mother runs over and kills her 3-year-old son while learning how to drive car for the first time

Police launched and investigation after a mother ran over and killed her child while learning how to drive a car, police in the United Kingdom said.

Now, a court decided that the 34-year-old mother of the victim will not face any charges in the death of her 3-year-old son, ruling that it was an accident.

According to the police investigation, the woman was taking driving lessons from her husband in Norfolk, while 3-year-old Liam Turner and her older daughter were playing nearby.

Lyndsay Turner suddenly hit the accelerator instead of the brake, and the car ran over her son.

37-year-old Stephen Turner immediately picked up the boy from under the car and drove to a hospital before flagging down an ambulance on the way.

The child could not be saved and was pronounced dead. The court concluded that it was a case of death by accident as the mother was driving for the first time.

Man punches private parts of his girlfriend’s 3-year-old son because he soiled his diaper

A man was arrested on a charge of battery after allegedly punching a little child’s private parts because he soiled his diaper, police in Illinois said.

Dekalb County police said that they have arrested 21-year-old Keith Crist, after being accused of assaulting the 3-year-old son of his girlfriend.

Crist, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery.

If convicted, Crist faces up to 30 years in prison. He was booked into the DeKalb County jail, and his bail was set at $250,000.

Police launched an investigation after being called to the Kishwaukee Community Hospital, on a report of child abuse.

Police officers who arrived at the scene, learned that the mother of the child brought him to the hospital. The victim had injuries to the private parts which caused bruising, swelling and a laceration.

Crist, who is the boyfriend of the child's mother, became angry because the child soiled his diaper. He hit the child in the groin area with his fist, and then with a toy.

6-year-old boy shoots and kills 62-year-old father in the presence of his mother and brother

(Scroll down for video) Police launched an investigation after a young boy allegedly shot and killed his elderly father in the presence of his mother and brother, police in Indiana said.

The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office said that the 6-year-old boy, who was not identified, shot and killed 62-year-old James E. Lonaker.

The incident unfolded around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, in the 200 block of Clinton Street. Police officers who arrive at the scene, found Lonaker with a gunshot wound to his upper body.

Lonaker was transported to the IU Health Methodist Hospital, where he died of his wounds. According to the police investigation, the 6-year-old boy accidentally shot his father after picking up a loaded gun.

It fired a shot and the bullet hit the father. Lonaker was sitting at his desk and saw that the child pick up the gun. His wife and 1-year-old son were nearby in the house, but they were not injured.

So far, no charges have been filed.

Teen sexually assaults women in front of children because they looked like porn stars

A teen was arrested on a charge of sexual assault after grabbing a woman from behind and rubbing himself into her, police in New Jersey said.

Now, the teen who was identified as T. T. because he is under 18 years old, told a judge that he sexually assaulted women because they looked like the porn stars he saw in adult videos.

An appeals court ruled that had the suspect been over 18 years old, he would have been convicted of sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child.

According to the police investigation, the teenager came up behind the woman in Raritan, grabbed her with both hands in began to rub himself into her.

During questioning, the teen admitted that he had grabbed the woman near her stomach area and rubbed against her backside.

The victim’s three children witnessed the attack. He said that the woman looked just like the porn star he saw in a movie. In another incident, the teen ran after a woman in the parking lot of a drugstore and grabbed her backside.

The woman screamed and the teen ran away.

In another incident, he was accused of approaching a third woman, grabbing her by the waist and rubbing against her backside.

The teenager was placed on three years probation and ordered to enter a residential program for adolescent sex offenders.

(Scroll down for video) A police officer was arrested on a charge of misconduct after allegedly watching pornography and pleasuring himself inside a police cruiser, police in South Carolina said.

The Camden Police Department said that they have arrested 41-year-old Marshall Lee Hardin II, after being accused of committing a sex act on himself while on duty.

Hardin was charged with misconduct in office and malfeasance, misfeasance, or nonfeasance. He was booked into the Kershaw County Detention Center.

According to the police investigation, Hardin was caught watching pornography on his cellphone while sitting in his patrol car.

He then performed a sexual act on himself in the car and in a public restroom. Hardin no longer works for the Camden Police Department.

Man pulls out cocaine from his behind and eats it in front of police

A man was arrested on a charge of drug possession after allegedly pulling out cocaine from his behind and eating it in front of police officers, police in New York said.

The New York State Police in Queensbury, said that they have arrested 35-year-old Aaron L. Hightower, after being pulled over on the road for a traffic violation.

Hightower was charged with possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a weapon, tampering with evidence, resisting arrest and unlawful possession of marijuana.

He was booked into the Warren County jail, and he is being held without bail. According to the police, on Friday, officers saw that Hightower was violating traffic rules.

He pulled over on the side of the road, and during a search of his vehicle, officers found marijuana and brass knuckles. He was arrested and taken into custody.

While he was under observation in a police holding cell, officers noticed that Hightower took out a bag of marijuana from his groin area and a bag of cocaine from his behind.

He then put the cocaine into his mouth before being restrained.
