By: Mahesh Sarin

(Scroll down for video) An entertainment company has filed a lawsuit against CBS, claiming that they intentionally increased the salary of Judge Judy to $47 million per year, so that they can report a net loss and avoid making their required payments.

Rebel Entertainment claims that they have not received payments for the Judge Judy show since 2010, due to the large salary of Judy Sheindlin.

The lawsuit, which was filed in Los Angeles, California, names Big Ticket Television, CBS Studios and CBS Corporation as defendants.

The lawsuit also accuses the defendants of finding ways to make the show seem to have losses, despite the fact that the show has earned around $1.7 billion over the past 19 years.

Rebel Entertainment claims that Richard Lawrence met Sheindlin about 20 years ago, and told her that a TV court show would have a lot of potential.

Shortly thereafter, the TV show Judge Judy was launched on CBS, and Rebel Entertainment was promised a share of the profits.

Timothy Pauley
By: Chan Yuan

(Scroll down for video) A murderer of Washington, who wanted to get out of jail earlier than planned, was slapped with an additional 20 years in prison.

Timothy Pauley, 57, received three life sentences after killing three people with an accomplice at a tavern in Seattle, in 1980.

After spending 35 years in prison, Pauley went before a parole board and asked to be released early. State law allows prisoners who committed crimes before 1984 to apply for parole.

However, instead of reducing the sentence for Pauley, the Department of Corrections' Indeterminate Sentencing Review Board decided that Pauley should spend at least two more decades behind bars.

The members of the review board said Pauley's role in the murder was “egregious” and that his original sentence did not meet current standards for similar crimes.

During the hearing, Pauley said that while he and his friend Scott Smith were trying to rob the tavern, he panicked when he shot the tavern’s night manager, Loran Dowell, and bartender Robert Pierre.

The two men were shot in the head while they were tied up in a walk-in cooler. Linda Burford, who was a former waitress and the girlfriend of the manager, was found raped and hanged.

Two other women were left to die in a restroom after being choked with electrical cords, but luckily, they survived.

Ray posted a video of the dog online and it went viral. However, not everyone was pleased that the dog is being used in a freak show.

Michael Chippendale wrote a comment on YouTube saying: “Toby is not a freak. It is a dog and should not be used as an attraction for people to come and pay money to see.
Instead, he should go to a loving person who will give him all the love, care and attention that this little guy needs.”

Venice Beach Freakshow replied: “Michael Chippendale. It's not funny that you would imply that we are not a loving family. Watch our TV show on Netflix called Freakshow, so you can get to know us before you make random stereotypical judgements.”
