A teen and his friend were arrested on a charge of murder after killing a 15-year-old girl because she refused to have sex with a 28-year-old man, police in Canada said.
Sudbury police said that they have arrested 17-year-old Gregory Hepp and 28-year-old Kristopher Lavallee, after being accused of killing and dismembering 15-year-old Whitney Vanderwouden.
Hepp was sentenced to serve seven years in prison while Lavallee was sentenced to serve 18 years in prison after being found guilty of murder.
According to the police investigation, Vanderwouden was having consensual sex with Hepp in a tent at a campsite when Lavallee tried to join them.
Vanderwouden resisted, became angry and threatened to go to the police. Lavallee then grabbed Vanderwouden by the neck, while Hepp stabbed her to death.
They then burned the dead body at the campsite.
