A restaurant in China, that became popular after they decided to use robot waitresses, fired all their machines because they had problems handling drinks and navigating among customers.

The Heweilai Restaurant in Guangzhou, first installed the robot waitresses in order to improve the customers’ experience.

However, the robots were not able to hold drinks steady, causing them to spill before reaching the customers.

The robots were only able to navigate the pre-programmed route, and if customers were in their way, the robots just walked right into them.

Another reason for hiring the robots was that they wouldn’t get tired working long hours, but after being installed, they often malfunctioned and had to be taken out for repairs.

Zhang Yun, who is the vice president of the Guangdong University of Technology, said that once the robots are programmed to handle drinks, they will probably be reinstalled in restaurants.

(Scroll down for video) A school in New Zealand, is being criticized after ordering girls to wear longer skirts because short ones distract boys and male teachers.

Forty female students of the Henderson high school in Auckland, were called into the principal's office and were told about the new rule.

Assistant principal Cherith Telford told the girls that their skirts will have to cover their knees in order to be allowed into class.

Telford told them that the move was designed to keep the girls safe and stop the guys from getting the wrong ideas as well as create a good working environment for male staff members.

These comments have caused outrage among many students and parents. A women’s rights activist slammed the comments, saying that the school is blaming girls for sexual assaults.

Most students did not have a problem with the new rule, but they object to the comments made by the assistant principal, saying that boys and male teachers need to control themselves and not blame short skirts.
