Police are looking to arrest a woman on a charge of assault after being accused of pouring hot soup on a bus driver, according to police in Washington DC.
Metro Transit police have released images of the woman who poured the hot soup on the bus driver, following a dispute about paying the fare.
According to the police investigation, around 6:50 a.m. on Sunday, the woman boarded a bus number 96 at the Benning Road station.
She refused to pay the fare. When the bus driver asked her for the money, she said: "f**k you, I am not paying anything." The woman then warned the driver that she will spit on him when she leaves.
The bus driver did not respond and continued driving. About 20 minutes later, as the woman got off the bus at the Union Station, she threw hot soup at the driver.
The suspect then fled from the scene. The bus driver was transported to a hospital, where he was treated and released.
