A man in Indonesia, said that his Muslim parents named him Merry Christmas because he was born on December 25.

54-year-old Merry Christmas of East Java, shows his government identification card to prove that his parents really named him after the holiday greeting.

Christmas’ mother gave birth in the house of a midwife, who was identified as Akas Kiyo.

Kiyo, who is Christian, suggested that the parents should name their son Merry Christmas because he was born on December 25.

Christmas said that his parents accepted the suggestion because they were lazy to think about a name for the newborn boy on their own.

Although Christmas is Muslim, he was never discriminated against by anyone in his community. Christmas said that his community is very tolerant towards other religions.
