A man who was angry with his roommate for not buying him food from McDonald’s, decided to shoot him, according to police in Maryland.

Burtonsville police said that they have arrested 21-year-old Jason Berrios, after being accused of killing his roommate, 22-year-old Syed Asad Hasan.

Berrios has been charged with second-degree murder and drug possession with the intent to distribute after being caught with a large amount of drugs.

He was booked into the Montgomery County jail, and he was denied bail. If convicted, Berrios faces up to 30 years in prison.

According to the criminal complaint, Berrios and his three friends bought food at McDonald’s located on the 15500 block of Old Columbia Pike.

The friends then returned to Berrios’ house located on 4500 Sandy Spring Road. Hasan, who did not go with the group to purchase food, was upset that no one had bought anything for him.

Berrios and Hasan started yelling at each other. Berrios grabbed his newly purchased handgun and fired a single shot at Hasan.

Paramedics found Hasan on the ground with a bullet wound in his chest. He died shortly thereafter.
