A judge agreed to resign from his position after being accused of receiving sexual favors from suspects who came before him.

Timothy Parker resigned as judge in the Carroll County District Court in Arkansas, on Saturday.

His resignation came after a disciplinary panel threatened to take legal action against him. Parker also agreed to never sit on the bench again.

Prosecutors announced that more than 12 women came forward to complain about the judge’s sexual harassment towards them.

He is accused of asking the woman for sexual favors in order to release them or to lower their bail.

Prosecutors said that they have recorded conversations between Parker and the women, while they were in jail.

Authorities also said that they have text messages that back up the women’s allegations.

The Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission announced on Tuesday, that Parker denied the allegations. However, he did admit to releasing and lowering bail for defendants who were friends or his former clients.

He also admitted to driving the defendants to their homes in his own vehicle after their release.
