(Scroll down for video) A young man who was frustrated about the long wait at a hospital emergency room, pulled out a gun and fired several shots, according to police in Texas.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office said that the 21-year-old man who opened fire in the hospital on Tuesday, is in critical condition after being shot multiple times by police.
According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded around 8:30 a.m., at the North Cypress Medical Center, which is located at 21214 Northwest Freeway.
He complained of pain and demanded X-rays of his chest. He was escorted to a waiting room, where he was examined and told to wait.
After about 30 minutes, the man lost his patience. He came out of the room, pulled out a gun, and fired several shots. Hospital employees and patients ran for their lives.
Luckily, no one was injured. The suspect then ran outside, where he was confronted by police. He was told to drop his weapon, but he refused.
When he pointed his gun at officer, they opened fire, striking him multiple times. The suspect was taken back into the hospital, where he is said to be in critical condition.
Doctors expect him to make a full recovery. The suspect faces a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.
