(Scroll down for video) A man broke into a house when the homeowner was on vacation, and made himself comfortable by lying in all the beds and testing the sofas, according to police in Virginia.

The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office said that around 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, deputies responded to a residence in the 100 block of Barrington Lane, for a burglary in progress.

The owner of the home was on vacation and was due back that night.

The person who called to report the burglary had come over to the residence to check on the house for the owner and to look for a package that was supposed to have been dropped off.

When he got to the house, he noticed the open package in the back yard and the food contents were half eaten.

When he entered the house, he smelled cigarette smoke and then walked upstairs to find the suspect smoking a cigarette in homeowner’s bed.

Upon being discovered, the suspect ran out of the house, where he was tackled by the caller and detained until deputies arrived and took him into custody.

38-year-old Samuel Ciopasiu apparently had gone into the home because he was homeless and had seen the package on the porch.

He had opened the package and ate the salmon before going into the house. It appeared that upon going in the home, he lied down on all the beds and couches until he found the one that he liked. He was also in the process of taking a bath in the Jacuzzi and was washing his clothes.

He had also put on some of the of homeowner’s clothes to wear so he would have clean clothes. Ciopasiu was charged with breaking, and entering and grand larceny.
