A family in Canada, was found dead and police said that they were killed during a domestic violence incident.
The Family of Nova Scotia, was killed by a former soldier who suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder after serving his country during his tour in Afghanistan.
Lionel Desmond shot and killed his wife Shanna, their 10-year-old daughter Aaliyah, and his mother Brenda.
After they were all dead, the 33-year-old man committed suicide in the village of Upper Big Tracadie.
The funerals for the four will be paid for by the federal government.
Desmond received treatment after his tour in Afghanistan in 2007 when he was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
However, his family members claim that the treatment was not enough to heal him, particularly upon his return to the island of Nova Scotia 18 months ago.
His family said that the debilitating mental illness and the lack of treatment, were the main reasons for Desmond's terrible actions.
