Firefighters cut off handcuffs that got stuck on police officer’s hand during training

The fire department has been called to rescue a police officer whose hands got stuck in handcuffs during training, according to police in Scotland.

Aberdeen police said that the officer had to be cut free from the handcuffs after the pair malfunctioned during the training session.

Firefighters were called to Mounthooly Way on Saturday, and they used heavy cutters to free the officer’s hands. A photo of the police officer being freed from the handcuffs were uploaded to Facebook, where it went viral.

Police thanked the fire service for quickly coming over to help.

A spokesperson for the police said that such incidents are rare.

A spokesperson for the Scotland Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that no one was injured.
