Police are looking for the person responsible for breaking the leg of a dog that was thrown out of a moving vehicle, according to police in the United Kingdom.

The RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) is appealing for information after the dog was thrown out of a car in Willenhall, West Midlands, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Two people who were walking home from a party, witnessed the female brown Staffordshire bull terrier being thrown from the window of a dark-colored Ford Focus on High Road, at about 2:00 a.m.

The car was traveling at approximately 40 miles per hour, and the people who saw the incident were unable to get the license plate number.

RSPCA inspector Rob Crutchley, who is investigating the incident, said: “The dog had an injury to her leg as a result of the incident, which was immediately treated.

“It was very shocking for the two people who found her. The dog was terrified after her ordeal.

“She is not microchipped so we have no way of tracing where she came from. We’d also like to rule out whether she was stolen. We are keen to speak to anyone who has any information to get in touch with us in complete anonymity on 0300 123 8018.”

The dog is currently in the care of the dog wardens.
