(Scroll down for video) Children in Germany, were excited when they were told that they can collect as many plastic egg toys as they can and keep them for free.

Thousands of plastic eggs containing small toys, have appeared on the North Sea island of Langeoog.

The toys came from five cargo containers that fell off a ship while traveling through the rough seas.

The toys fell out of the containers and it washed up on the beaches.

The children on the island were overjoyed with the unexpected arrivals that turned their beaches into colorful toy boxes. Each egg contained a toy with a message in Russian.

In an effort to clean the beaches, the mayor of Langeoog, Uwe Garrels, announced that the children can collect as many eggs as they wanted.

The mayor said that if any foreign company opposed his decision, then they are invited to help pick up the thousands of small plastic pieces, bags and other packaging materials that washed ashore with the eggs, which polluted the beaches on the island.
