Concerned drivers called police after seeing body parts sticking out of a truck.

Authorities in Thailand, summonsed the driver of the 18 wheeler to a hearing after it scared motorists on the road.

Charin Somta, 51, who is the supervisor of the driver, attended the meeting at the Provincial Land Transport Department’s office in Nakhon Pathom.

Charin said his 49-year-old driver, Banyat Sawatram, was transporting garbage from Bangkok to a landfill in Nakhon Pathom, at the time of the incident.

He explained that the body parts were not of human, but from a cut-up mannequin.

Sawatram, who works for the Charoensap Company, said that he did not put the mannequin parts on his truck. He believes that a staff member at the landfill had done it as “we always play pranks on each other,” Sawatram said.

The Department of Land Transport fined the company THB 4,000 ($113) for causing a distraction to other drivers on the road, for the poor condition of the truck and for the trucks damaged license plate.
