A young woman flew into a rage after a teenager refused to move from a parking space outside a 7-Eleven store, according to police in California.

The San Mateo Police Department said that they have arrested the young woman early Monday evening, for stabbing another woman over the parking space.

On Monday, at about 6:30 p.m., police received a call from someone who reported that a woman had been stabbed.

Dispatchers worked quickly and determined that the victim was in the parking lot of 600 E. 3rd Ave.

Officers arrived within two minutes and contacted the 18-year-old victim who was suffering from lacerations to her arm and hand due to being stabbed.

The victim was transported to a hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation revealed that the victim was approached by the suspect while seated in her vehicle and began an argument over the parking space.

Unprovoked, the suspect attacked the victim with a knife and then fled the scene in a grey Volkswagen sedan. The victim was able to provide officers with a vehicle description and license plate number.

Officers swiftly identified the suspect as 21-year-old Jessica Greenbaum. Greenbaum turned herself in and she was arrested.
