When you give birth to each of your children, you have high hopes for them to achieve greatness and reach their potentials.

As you raise your children, you love them and you expect them to learn from you e and to follow in your footsteps.

When you learn that your child has taken a different path in life, you may be taken aback.

When they let you know that they are gay, you can either choose to accept and love them for who they are or you can choose to reject them.

As an adult, you have the right to choose either way. However, before you make a decision think about the following.

Your children are your flesh and blood. You gave birth to them without them asking to be born.

Take time to think what bothers you. Are you concerned about what family, friends and neighbors will say?

Your children already feel ashamed and rejected by many people in society. Why would you want to add to their pain?

Think about it this way. How would you accept your children if their appearance suddenly changed due to a car accident or fire?

You want people to accept you for who you are, with your strength and weaknesses, so give your children the same love and understanding even of they are different.

If you have an issue with your child being gay because you are religious, remember that God makes no mistakes.

God chose you and gave you this child so that you can grow from the situation and become a better person.

There is a famous saying: “don’t judge others because they sin differently than you do.” We all have our faults. Don’t judge other people especially your children.

Leave the judging to God and accept the gift that he gave you when he handed you your children the way they are.

Prisons around the world are filled with people who committed crimes such as killing others. Their parents visit them in prison. They don’t disown them due to their actions.

Children are gifts. If you push them away, you’re rejecting God and the gifts he gave you.

Don’t allow other people to ruin the special bond and loving relationship you have with your children.
