(Scroll down for video) An airline employee in Tulsa, Oklahoma, who was inspecting a plane to prepare it for takeoff, was shocked to find a large amount of cocaine hidden inside the nose of the aircraft.

Tulsa police said that the American Airlines employee made the discovery at the Tulsa International Airport on Sunday afternoon, while he was performing maintenance on a Boeing 757.

The plane came from Bogota, Colombia, and landed in Miami, Florida, before stopping for maintenance in Tulsa. Police estimate the cocaine to be worth up to $500,000.

The airline employee told police that he found the cocaine bricks in the nose of the plane in new insulation. The bricks were covered with grease in an effort to mask the smell.

The Tulsa Sheriff’s Office notified the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration office in Miami, as the drugs came into the United States from another country.
