Son punches mother in the mouth for changing television channel

A son threatened to kill his mother because she changed the television channel against his wishes, according police in Pennsylvania.

Moore Township police said that they have arrested 42-year-old David F. Cantrell, after being accused of punching his mother in the mouth and choking her.

Cantrell has been charged with one count each of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment. He was booked into the Northampton County Prison, and his bail has been set at $75,000.

According to the criminal complaint, on Sunday around 8:30 p.m., a fight broke out between Cantrell and his mother when they were watching a television show.

When his mother changed the channel, Cantrell became extremely angry and violent. Cantrell hit his mother in the mouth, lifted her and slammed her body on the floor.

He then choked his mother until she lost consciousness.

Cantrell told his mother that he wants her to die. The mother managed to escape and ran to neighbors who called police.
