A man who was pulled over by police for driving above the posted speed limit, came up with a unique excuse, according to police in Australia.
Three Springs Police said that the man, who was not identified, received a fine and points on his license after telling police that the wind pushed his car over the speed limit.
Police said that an officer pulled over the car that traveled at 78 miles per hour in a 68 miles per hour zone on Monday around 1:30 p.m.
When the officer asked the driver why he was traveling faster than the posted speed limit, the man said: “the wind was pushing me.”
The driver was slapped with a $200 fine and 2 points were added on his license, according to police. Police uploaded a photo of the speeding ticket on Twitter, where it went viral.
