(Scroll down for video) A man from Australia, said that he was shocked when 20 police officers knocked on his door and arrested him for sleeping with a Muslim woman.

The lawn bowls coach who fell in love with his Muslim star player, has spoken of the time since he was arrested and faced a year in prison because he lived alone with the woman before being married.

Tony Scott moved to Brunei on the island of Borneo, after he was hired to lead the country’s lawn bowls team to victory.

Scott said that he never thought that he would find love in that country. However, after just a few weeks, he fell in love with the team’s best player, Sita Kamis.

The coach said that other members of the team became jealous and angry about the relationship so they tried repeatedly to have him fired.

When this did not happen, they apparently went to the Sharia police and filed a complaint.

Scott moved his new girlfriend into his luxury home. However, their euphoria did not last long as he was arrested on charges of violating Sharia law by living with the woman without a chaperone.

The couple was arrested in middle of the night by Sharia Law police. They were charged with confinement for spending time alone without being married.

Scott’s Australian passport was seized and he was told that he could face 12 months in prison.

The couple said that they had no choice but to plead guilty to the charge because in the eyes of the Islamic government, they were guilty.

While awaiting sentencing, the couple escaped, and they now live in New South Wales.

Kamis said that she has no contact with her family members, who she misses very much.
