A thief who tried to break into a home through a window, became stuck and had to be rescued by police, according to police in the United Kingdom.

Manchester police said that they have arrested 47-year-old Sean Crawshaw, after a 60-year-old woman called them to report that a man was stuck in her second-floor window.

In court, Crawshaw pleaded guilty to burglary with intent to steal. The Minshull Street Crown Court has sentenced Crawshaw to serve two years and five months in prison.

According to the criminal complaint, Crawshaw climbed a wall and tried to enter the woman’s home through a small second-floor window.

He tried to get into the home head first, but somehow became wedged and was left dangling in the air. It took police 20 minutes to get Crawshaw to safety.

Crawshaw suffered injuries to his ears while the homeowner was left shaken up and scared.
