Drunk husband shows up to pick up his children after his wife was stopped by police for drunk driving

(Scroll down for video) Children were placed in the custody of child services after both of their parents were drunk.

Siobhan Theresa Egnot, 36, of Hamburg, Michigan, was suspected of driving while she was intoxicated.

Police were called to the scene at about at 3:00 p.m., on reports that a 2016 Ford Explorer ran off the road near Bass Ridge Road and Bass Court.

When officers arrived, they did a field sobriety test and the mother failed.

The Hamburg Township police officers did not allow Egnot to drive her vehicle with her two children inside.

Egnot called her husband to pick up their 5-year-old daughter and three-year-old son. However, when her 39-year-old husband, officers realized that he was also drunk.

Egnot was arrested for driving while intoxicated. She was released from jail after posting $5,000 bail.

Her husband was also arrested, but was released without charges.

The children were carried away from the scene by police officers and they were placed into the custody of child services before they were handed over to their grandmother.
